Suzuki SlingShot: 125cc Bike Launched by Suzuki in India with Super Mileage

Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd., a subsidiary of one of the world's leading two-wheeler manufacturers Suzuki Motor Corporation, Japan, today launched the much awaited Suzuki SlingShot. The 125cc Suzuki SlingShot was launched in the presence of senior Suzuki Motorcycle India officials.

Targeted at the mass segment, the Suzuki SlingShot is positioned to fill the void that currently exists between the 100cc and the 150cc segments without compromising on the key parameters that a customer aspires for - style of a 150cc and the efficiency of a 100cc bike. The Suzuki SlingShot underscores Suzuki's commitment to introduce products of global standards that meets an Indian customer's requirement.

At the launch of the Suzuki SlingShot, Mr. Katsumi Takata, Chairman, Suzuki Motorcycle India Pvt. Ltd. said, "Suzuki is a brand trusted worldwide for its superior technology and uncompromised quality and we have amply displayed this to our commitment to India by launching products, from the GS150R to the Hayabusa, Gixxer and Bandit, that have generated tremendous response from customers. Inspired by its bigger siblings the GSX-R series, the Suzuki SlingShot boasts of sharp edgy head lamps, an all new front fender design and a convenient gear position indicator for ease in riding in city traffic. A state-of-the-art engine fed by a BS carburettor with a Throttle Position Switch (TPS) optimizes the ignition timing coupled with a DC - CDI along with the Suzuki Pulsed-secondary AIR-injection (PAIR) system results in obtaining high combustion efficiency for enhanced mileage and reduced emissions.

With a newly designed sturdy upswept frame construct with a longer swing arm coupled with a preload adjustable rear suspension and a race inspired light weight alloy provides the Suzuki Sling Shot with the perfect balance and agility for varied road conditions without compromising on comfort and ergonomics.

The Suzuki SlingShot is available in four colours - Metallic Mustard Yellow, Metallic Fox Orange, Candy Antares Red and Pearl Nebular Black.

Suzuki Showcase Concept R3 Car: Eco Car Model @ Auto Expo 2010

Suzuki Motor Corporation is pleased to announce that its Indian automobile production subsidiary, Maruti Suzuki India, will be exhibiting the following vehicles at Auto Expo 2010 in New Delhi (to be held from 5 to 11 January 2010*):


Suzuki Concept model: R3
- The Indian market is changing rapidly and consumer lifestyles evolving fast.
- To cater to one such market need, Maruti Suzuki has developed a concept car, R3.
- The Concept R3 model is a Compact Multi Purpose Vehicle (MPV) for such people.
- Designed by Maruti Suzuki India's Research and Development Department, it combines compact dimensions with a stylish profiling.
- The Concept compact MPV accommodates six people in three rows.

Reference exhibits (eco-vehicles): SX4 Hybrid and Eeco Electric Vehicle
Maruti Suzuki India is taking part in an Indian government project that promotes hybrid and electric vehicles.

It will be exhibiting two prototype vehicles that Maruti Suzuki has developed for the project: the SX4 Hybrid and the Eeco (Every+) Electric Vehicle.

Production models and other reference exhibits
Maruti Suzuki India will be showing 16 other automobiles including ten production models (13 units in total) and two reference exhibits: the Kizashi and SX4 Hatchback (three units in total).

Maruti Suzuki pavilion will also be highlighting Suzuki's two-wheel leadership by showing nine motorcycles: the Hayabusa, Intruder, and other large models; the Thai-produced Skydrive 125 scooter; and the Burgman Fuel Cell Scooter, which was last seen at the 2009 Tokyo Motor Show.

Suzuki RM-Z250 Mx2 India: Fuel Injection Bike Comes in 2010

Suzuki is a company known in India for its tough and durable bikes. Two years ago the company stole "a march in MX1" with its RM-Z450 fuel injection bike. Now Suzuki announces its MX2 motocross bike, the 2010 Suzuki RM-Z250.

The dirt bike features a battery-less fuel system with a 43 mm throttle-body and progressive throttle linkage, all controlled by a 16-bit computer system. The entire setup is backed up by a lightweight magneto-generator. The RM-Z250 also provides torque and power greater than before.

The frame has been redesigned to deliver better suspension which in turn gives improved traction. The 2010 Suzuki RM-Z250 features fuel injection and an aluminium fuel tank. It even comes with new foot rests and black number boards.

The 2010 Suzuki RM-Z250 has a fresh new look and is expected to be available from any of the authorized Suzuki off-road dealers by this autumn. A recommended retail price will be announced just prior to the bike's launch.
