De-Stress Yourself with “Puch The Lighting” LED Light

When you are stressed with heavy workload, you need something to lighten your stress. So, here comes a new concept “Punch the Lighting” designed by a creative artist. Usually people take out their stress by hitting a punching bag. So, this is what you have to do with this. You do not have to hang this punching bag, just keep it somewhere in your room and start hitting as hard as you can to relieve the stress. Whenever you hit this bag, light will radiate and this concept will refresh your mind according to the designer. Let’s see how far people can do away with their anger and stress.

FrogWare Light Bulb Design Offers Better Energy Efficiency Than CFLs

This is not an ordinary bulb but it is known as a LED bulb recently created by Frog Design to provide more sustainable lighting choices. They have used LED lights because they believe that LED lights tend to produce a lot of heat and are less influential than incandescent bulbs. They have created Led lights inside a glass fixture that looks like incandescent bulbs. The power LED is set inside the bulb which dissolves its heat to the aluminum base. The main concept behind creating this bulb is to make it easy for the consumers to change their light bulbs.Text from the website:
Our original goal was to improve the CFL bulb, both in color and usability, but the technology to do so was not obvious. We began to explore colored filters and realized that any filter would reduce the lumen output. We then looked into adding LEDs to change the overall color output. This led us to the realization that florescent lights have huge environmental drawbacks. CFLs use ballast, which contains mercury, electronics and plastic housings. Most consumers just throw fluorescents out with the trash, even though they should be disposed of as toxic waste. CFLs are not dimmable and therefore use their maximum light output each time they’re turned on. In addition, the form and cold color of CFLs keep them from being widely accepted as a replacement to the incandescent bulb.

As our ideas began to focus on combining LEDs with a fluorescent, we sketched several forms that tried to create harmony between the two technologies. The idea of creating a separation between work and home life through the modulation of the color output drove some of our early forms. As soon as we chose to use only high-output LEDs, our forms changed significantly, rendering the old concepts no longer valid.

As designers are inclined to do, we started to create beautiful forms that revolved around the advantages of the new technology and the form factor it lent itself to. This may have been our biggest wrong turn. With LEDs, that form was flat and thin; but this would not solve the problem we had defined for ourselves. To create the biggest impact on society, this design had to keep the barriers to acceptance as low as practical—which in part meant no super-sexy, fluid designs that would only be found in high-end design stores. Any unnecessary styling would cause a rift in its mainstream acceptance.

We realized the easiest way to create acceptance was to deliver the technology in an already widely accepted form. The form of a standard light bulb was then the obvious choice. It would not ask consumers to change their form of power, their light socket or replace the lampshade attached to the bulb. And it underscored the notion that good design is about solving problems for the whole ecosystem of the product.

The Stylish and Innovative Lighting System Offers Stunning Commercial Interior

The lighting system concept is a flexible, modular, ambiance and stylish lighting system that is designed to give commercial interiors a brand new look. The concept is made of dual layer white polycarbonate slanted sheets with an appearance like conventional boat sails. Between these two layers, lights have been inserted and are attached on the inside layer. The upper layer is incised in stripes through which lights glow in a unique manner with great aesthetics. The units can feature different color lights such as green, cyan or magenta, however, intensity of light may vary with different colors. Each unit contains a metal tube base that allows the user to fix it on the wall or roof and gives easy rotation for multi-directional lightings.

Modular Coatrack Allows You to Spare A Lot Of Space

Some of the best ideas in this world are the simplest ones, and this modular coatrack is a nice and simple idea with a lot of potential. It uses a single element that works both as hook and support. Just combining the same element you can create many possibilities: one sided or two sides coatrack, more or less density, more or less stability or even use it as a support, for tables and inclined or vertical surfaces.

The joining mechanism is very clever and it just uses a cylinder and a wavy steel spring ring. Therefore, there is no need of tools to assemble it and you can store it carelessly because there is no need to sort different elements.

Also, transport and assembly is fast and effortless because the elements are very light and due to its compact design there is no waste of space.

The designer has created it just to hang clothes, but with some modifications surely it could be used in many other ways, like sorting, displaying, or just storing lots of different things: tools, hardware, food, video games…

Stress Buster Transforms Your Kicking, Punching, and Squeezing Into Energy

Hard day at work can cause you eager to beat something/someone after you get back home. That’s why, in my opinion “Stress Buster” lamp series is an innovative design. This product is based on the law of conservation energy: “Energy can neither be created nor destroyed; it can only be transformed from one state to another”. It tries to convert your stress into usable energy. “Stress Buster” consists of punching bag, kicking column, and squeeze ball where each of them has been designed with piezoelectricity layer that has the ability to generate an electrical field or electric potential in response to applied mechanical strain.

These lamps produce energy that is stored in the built-in rechargeable battery every time user kicking, punching, or squeezing. The squeeze balls are portable gadgets that can also be used as emergency lights. The more you squeeze and play, the more energy these balls can keep. User can also utilize them as smallpower generators since each of them has been designed with power outlet socket.

Starry Night Light Recreates Fascinating Starry Night Sky Using Recycled Energy

I’ve always been fascinated by the stars in the sky. I can spend hours lie down and watch the stars in the sky at night. There’s something mysterious and beautiful about them. The main idea of Starry Night Light is to recreate the same fascinating starry night sky while using the energy efficiently. The exterior lampshade is constructed of a transparent light-collecting module (thank you to Mechanical and Systems Research Laboratories [MSL]/Industrial Technology Research Institute [ITRI]). It collects light energy when the main bulb lights up and converts it to electricity to charge a battery that powers the starry LED nightlight.

When this lamp is switched into nightlight mode, it uses recycled energy collected from the light to power its LED to establish an enchanting atmosphere. This product offers green technology that blends perfectly well with our everyday life.

Shade : A Lamp Shade That Act as The Lamp Itself

SHADE is a lamp shade that has been designed in an innovative way to act as the lamp itself. It brings a new lifestyle to an iconic form with a tuxedo-like formal appearance. The shade incorporates 28 bulbs fitted on its edge along with stainless steel button head cap that screwed with the silver studs and cuff links. This brilliant lamp shade is a low voltage fixture that uses aircraft aluminum body in order to conduct electricity to the highly efficient 12V/10W, high color rendering and long life Xenon Festoon bulbs. SHADE is available in three different meticulously finished colors with catalyzed acrylic enamel: white, torch red and silver metallic. Moreover, it can be dimmed fully and comes with magnetic transformer located remotely or in the included canopy which can be mounted easily to a standard junction box.
“Power of Life” Adjustable Conceptual Lamp by Victor Vetterlein

Power of Life is a unique and adjustable light fixture concept that is to be mounted on the ceiling and is made of wood, clay and rubber hose. The main inspiration behind the project was to demonstrate the catastrophic events in human life that can be dynamically changed by environment. The concept is envisioned to be hanged from the roof with strong rope and length of the concept can be adjusted from 180cm to 240 cm considering the floor height. The innovative design and pure white color of this fixture will boost your home’s interior and at the same time, will let the user to realize the positive impact of nature.
