Smart Drive System With Big Knob

After BMW promoting their iDrive system, Audi introduced us with one of their own, the big knob seems like one device to control them all. Located near the driver, it was mend to make the driver easily control infotainment system without even looking. Its stylist design makes perfect combination with the luxury interior design (some of you might think what’s the point, we don’t see it anyway). So what do you think ?

Tracer HUD – Speed Monitoring System

As of late, young motorists have become a target in the media due to their high fatality rate as a result of speeding. Tracer HUD is an after market HUD projection and speed monitoring system designed for use by motorists under the age of 25. Utilizing the latest advances in GPS and laser projection technology, the system will notify the user of their current speed and location in the form of a Heads Up Display.

The secondary function of the system is to act as a surveillance device. If the driver of the vehicle exceeds a pre-determined speed limit, the device will record and notify a nominated party of the violation. Thus driver’s holding an unsupervised license will still have their driving behavior monitored.



City[Zen] Multifunctional Urban Vehicle Concept

The cities are getting overpopulated, which mean the problem of parking is getting worst. City[zen] vehicle concept is trying to help solving that problem plus the combination of comfortable driving in different styles. City[zen] can adapt to various drive conditions because it has en engine-body transformation system. The car?s transformation system is based on mechanical parts without any robotic systems. City[zen] can change its body position according to speed and the situation on the road.There are three basic modes: highway mode, city mode and parking mode. Highway mode has a long wheel base, good aerodynamics and a lower focal point. City mode has a short wheel base, a high point of view, and higher sitting for the driver. Parking mode allows the vehicle to occupy very small parking spaces thanks to the more vertical configuration of the car?s body. The position of the driver?s seat is dynamic. It changes in sequence with the car?s body position.

City Transport Cell Concept for 2020

City Transport Cell (CTC) is a new concept car for navigating in the city. Built for the year 2020 it is a flexible and easy to navigate car in the hectic urban live. All the exterior parts are easy to maintain due to CTC’s flexible puzzle idea. All the parts come as a unit and can be replaced with one click. The interior is a very flexible structure that allows you to either make space for transporting bigger items or driving around with your family and friends. As this is really a City Car the speed and range are limited to an average commuting distance. The car is all battery driven and has zero emission.




Audi Snook Futuristic Car Concept

Just for your information before you say “No” to this new Audi Snook concept, Audi Snook has won the Michelin Challenge Design Award 2008 at the Detroit Autoshow 2008. Designed by Tilmann Schlootz, German designer, this Snook concept is original and agile personal mobility vehicle that rides on a sphere.

Take a look at the multi-directional engine which consists of a sphere-wheel and enables the driver to navigate and steer the auto-stabilized cain in every direction. You’ll feel new driving experience, Audi Snook offers new maneuvers, fun driving, and satisfying the needs of future urban mobility.




Hi-CT Hybrid Car Concept from Toyota

First impression at Toyota Hi-CT car might not make you say “wow”, well we agree that the design is somehow not as stylish as we expect it. On the other hand, Toyota’s team of you Japanese and European designers claimed that Hi-CT is a reflection of what a cool and great vehicle should look like, they want to create something that make people stop and take a good look.

The Hi-CT is a plug-in hybrid with a 1.5L motor and uses lithium-ion batteries, which are located underneath the floor of the vehicle in order to maximize the interior space of the car. While it looks quite boxy and big, it is in fact quite small. The entire vehicle is 3.3 meters long, 1.6 meters wide and 1.7 meters high. It is, effectively, a cube on wheels. Due to the tiny size, it can only carry two persons. However, being a “lifestyle” car, there’s enough space inside it for everything that an active user or two could need. The rear trunk can be modified so that surfboards, bicycles and camping equipment can be carried around for those days where you need to get out to nature.

Looking at inside of the car, we might hear you say “wow” because of its futuristic design, the exterior now doesn’t seem to matter anymore.





SEV – Space Efficient Vehicle

We’re pretty sure that you are doing everything you can to save money, why not save space at the same time? Do you know that 90-95% of all cars normally just carry one person? It would be great if we can slim down our mode of transportation that is showing signs of becoming seriously obese. A sleek and light-weight vehicles have many advantages, such as better maneuverability, lower emissions, leaner production, and higher fuel economy. The suggested Space Efficient Vehicle (SEV) will do fine as sole vehicle for singles, couples and one-child families and of course during rush hour when traffic is at its worst.

The Space Efficient Vehicle (SEV) was a finalist in the 2008 Michelin Challenge Design, and was put on display at the Detroit Motor Show.




Sport Volkswagen GX3 Reverse Trike Concept

The new Volkswagen GX3 reverse trike concept vehicle. This car is designed in California and this is something you will have a crush on. This vehicle achieves an awesome 10hp/lb power to weigh ratio by attaching a 125 hp. 113 ft-lbs and a 1.6 liter engine along with 1200 pound frame. This car is perfect for a couple. Don’t worry about the speed; it just takes 5.7 seconds to accelerate from 0-62 mph. It has a top speed of 125 mph.

The best thing about this car is that it promises 47mpg. This car can be owned after paying a price of 17000$ to Volkswagen. Looking at the design it looks similar to a sports car. The front wheel outside the solid steel body gives it a sporty look. A combination of white and black used in the car is an all time favorites. The rear turbo wheel is broader than the front wheels and provides just enough support to the car and helps it to maintain a perfect balance through out. A decent car embedded with all facilities will give a pretty good ride.

TwoTwo, 2 Seater Electric Car That Transforms into 4 Seater at The Press of A Button

German designer Ramin Ansari has designed a car that seemed to be picked direct from a Sci Fi comic book. Two Two is what they call and is an electric car which can be transformed from a 2 –seater to a 4 –seater at the press of a button! While the 2 seater length is 2.5 meters, and the 4 seater is almost 3.1 meters long. It is powered by Lithium-Ion batteries which are coupled with 4 wheel hub engines. Delivers a power output of 100kW, allowing a range of 250 kms in a full charge. To recharge the car, it takes 3.5 hours. So all you James bond fans, this one is surely made for you!


Ozone Hydrogen Powered Car with 2 Giant Wheels

The new concept vehicle called ‘Ozone’ seems to revolutionize the way we commute. The vehicle works on hydrogen powered fuel cells and looks futuristic in every way possible. Also the thought and the concept seems to be fine, however the structure might make you feel uncomfortable in your seats. The body is encased between two giant wheels controlled by separate motors which are powered by fuel cells, though this two seater looks more like a design picked straight out of fantasy due to its semi transparent glass casing and controlled by joystick. The huge glass doors slide 360 degree into the symmetric metal body. It sure is one cool futuristic concept.

Cobra Venon V8 with F1-style Alloy “Protective Cocoon” to Keep The Occupants Safe

Jamie Martin, is a UK based designer who has come up with the Cobra Venom V8 which is a successor to the renowned AC Cobra of the 60′s. It is light weight and comes with big power just like the original car. The car features extruded aluminum chassis and the body panel is made of carbon fiber. The safety of the occupants is ensured by F1-style alloy “protective cocoon” and alohas front and back airbags. The 4.6 liter Ford V8 engine gives a whopping 524 hp, with a top speed of 214 mph. The car comes with a 6 speed manual transmission and comes with a paddle shift option. So what are you waiting for! Just zap away in a flash.



Aspid Roadster : A Luxury Sports Car

We always wanted to have a car like Caterham, but the one and only thing that came to our minds by looking at it was that this car would have been better with roof, 400 horsepower and more luxury. So all the prayers have been answered and the IFR has come up with an all-new Aspid with roof in which two engines will be available and a naturally aspirated 2.0-liter producing 270 hp, or a 400-hp turbocharged version of the same mill. This light weight carbon fiber structure whose power will be sent to the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox and a limited-slip differential to get that 400 horsepower.

IFR Automotive reveals track car

A new sports car boasting luxury fitments and high performance has been announced by engineering consultancy IFR Automotive.

Known as the Aspid, IFR has sought to create a track car with everyday levels of usability and, importantly for cars like this – reliability.

It’s also a technology showcase for demonstrating the company’s design and engineering capabilities.

Aspid prototypes feature a 2-litre engine; either naturally aspirated to deliver 270bhp or supercharged to 400bhp.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a manual 6-speed gearbox and limited-slip differential.

Use of aluminium and carbon fibre has resulted in weight of just 700kg and the resulting 570bhp-per-tonne power-to-weight ratio enables 62mph (100km/h) in 2.8 seconds and 100mph (160km/h) in 5.9 seconds.

“The Aspid has been engineered to deliver a high level of driving pleasure,” says company founder, managing director and automotive engineer Ignacio Fern?ez Rodriquez, whose initials give IFR Automotive its name.

Formerly with Prodrive, Rodriquez subsequently joined the Mitsubishi World Rally Championship team as race engineer for Alister McRae and Fran?s Delecour.

Rodriquez founded IFR Automotive in 2003 and began work immediately on the new sports car project, while handling confidential car and commercial vehicle assignments from industry clients.

With a long list of options, and each one tailored to the precise needs of each individual customer the anticipated base price is £75,000 and upwards per Aspid.

The car will be displayed at the British International Motor Show in London docklands from Wednesday 23 July to Sunday 3 August 2008.

This concept of 2008 Auto Union Type-D is influenced by a design which is nearly 70 years old and is designed from two different materials i.e. carbon fibre and metal skin. The structural support is provided by carbon fibre and the authentic look is given by the metal skin. The car is powered by the 6.5 litre twelve-cylinder engine producing 478 KW horsepower. Futuristic Volkswagen Ego Car Concept for 2028

With the new concepts being designed by the car manufacturers, they want us to believe that the future is here. Similarly, Ego designed by Volkswagen is a part of concept vehicles offering a glimpse of what to expect from Volkswagen in future. This two seater sports car design is targeted for the year 2028, a good two decades from now! The body shape is simple, and is an all electric power source, and uses high performance batteries which are charged by fuel cell and the car shall be emitting water. The interiors has intelligent driver aids to warn the driver of hazards and an advanced cruise control with even no need of involvement for the driver; with so many options just cruise along!



Corrina Three Wheels Car Concept

With maximum comfort and less road space being the motto of the day, designer Marco Bevilacqua has come up with a new concept Corrina, which is a three wheels car. The car is based on Ape Piaggio chassis with the main frame being made of steel pipes while the bodywork is in ABS. It’s a 2 door model where the driver and the passenger enter from the same door. The driver seat is an orating one thus giving easy access to the driver while entering and alighting from the seat. That’s not all as the seats in the back also have comfortable seating for two people, so just zip through the roads.
